The 2021 The Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival will run from Saturday, October 9th through Sunday, October 17th and feature dozens of special events designed to educate, entertain and most importantly engage the general public with the wide variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) taking place throughout the Pikes Peak Region. After much of last year's festival week was presented virtually, for 2021 we are hoping to be back to a (mostly) normal festival and Carnival Day with minimal or no social distancing restrictions. We will update this page if necessary with any changes. Many of the virtual events were so popular, however, that we are happy to consider any virtual special events for this year if you prefer.
This is your organization's opportunity to host your own special event that shows off what you do in a fun and engaging way. Events may be open to kids, teens, adults only, families or anyone. You are free to do whatever you want (within reason of course), including determining the date and time, number and ages of the participants, require reservations, and charge a small fee if necessary to offset any unusual expenses* (we strongly encourage you to offer the event for free if possible, or at a very low cost if necessary so that all can participate).
Examples of past events include science trivia or comedy nights, talks, lab and facility tours, computer coding workshops, star gazing nights, guided nature hikes, science of cooking or brewing workshops, science story time for kids, farm tours, gardening classes and much, much more. For more special event ideas check out the 2019 CSCSF events flyer (650 KB PDF).
Please complete the form below if you would like to host a special event in this year's festival. If you have any questions before or after submitting the form you may contact us. We're always happy to discuss any ideas or concerns you have, and help you get started if you're not sure what you want to do or need any support. We'll follow up soon with more info or if we have additional questions. Thanks.
