For 2026 the Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival will officially run from Saturday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 18th. As always, the festival will feature dozens of special events designed to educate, entertain and most importantly engage the general public with the wide variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) taking place throughout the Pikes Peak Region.
This is your organization's opportunity to host your own special event that shows off what you do in a fun and engaging way, at any location or venue you prefer. Events may be open to kids, teens, adults only, families or anyone. This is your event to do whatever you want (within reason of course), including determining the date and time, number and ages of the participants, require reservations, and charge a small fee if necessary to offset any unusual expenses* (we strongly encourage you to offer the event for free if possible, or at a very low cost if necessary so that all can participate). Note we are also happy to consider virtual special events if you prefer.
Examples of past events include science trivia or comedy nights, talks, lab and facility tours, open house events, science or STEM nights, computer coding workshops, star gazing nights, guided nature hikes, science of cooking or brewing workshops, science story time for kids, farm tours, gardening classes and much, much more.
